SUSTAINABILITY

The festival grounds are located in nature, surrounded by meadows and forests that are used for agriculture. Therefore, preserving the environment is our top priority. We’ve implemented various sustainability methods, including:

  • Waste deposit system: Ensures that every inch of the festival and camping area is free of waste at the end
  • Green Camping: A waste-free zone supported by waste separation containers and monitored by staff
  • Efficient water usage: Thanks to a closed-loop system for hygiene facilities
  • Eco-friendly measures: All food and drink stands use only reusable or compostable products
  • Shuttle buses: Available from Puschendorf station, promoting train travel

However, the most important part of sustainability is you. Be part of our project by minimizing packaging waste and separating and disposing of waste properly.

DIVERSITY

What’s a festival without the people? Each year, around 90,000 visitors from various nations come together to celebrate their love for electronic music with national and international artists and newcomers. Every individual is important to us, whether visitors, artists, staff, or emergency personnel. With so many people, it’s vital to celebrate peacefully and harmoniously, respecting each other. Please treat others as you’d expect to be treated.

PARKING TICKET / CAR CAMPING

Parking tickets
You can purchase parking tickets in advance as an additional item in the second order step or subsequently in the MyTicket portal. The parking tickets are valid for the general parking area. A distinction is made between Day Parking and Weekend Parking. Spending the night in the parking lot (in the car) is strictly prohibited.

The parking lot and the campsite are located next to each other, so the walk from the car to the campsite entrance is limited to a maximum of 5 minutes.

Car Camping
With the Car Camping Pass you are allowed to park your vehicle, no matter if car, camper, caravan or trailer directly on the camping site. One Car Camping Pass is required per motorized vehicle (e.g. car + caravan = 1). Each occupant of the vehicle also needs a weekend ticket. Multiple entry and exit to the Car Camping site is not possible.

You are allowed to set up an additional tent next to your vehicle. Every person who wants to spend the night on the Car Camping site needs an additional camping pass. The Car Camping Ticket is only valid for the vehicle and not for the persons.

Please pay attention to the signs “Access Car Camping” when you arrive.

HARDTICKETS

Since February 2023, our tickets can also be purchased as hard tickets.

TICKET OFFICE

PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

People with disabilities will receive a free ticket.

TICKET REFUNDS

All tickets are non-refundable.

RESALE / PURCHASE FROM THIRD PARTIES

The resale of tickets is only possible via the TicketPay MyTicket portal. Resale via other platforms such as TicketSwap, classified ads and others is not possible because the e-mail address is not changed via these platforms and therefore the ticket cannot be repersonalized.

Selling to strangers

The easiest way to resell your ticket is through TicketPay’s official resale shop. There you can offer your ticket for sale, you don’t have to look for a buyer and you don’t have to worry about the payment. As soon as the ticket has been sold and the money has arrived at TicketPay, TicketPay will transfer the amount to your specified bank account.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the MyTicket portal
  2. Click the “To the ticket” button
  3. Right on “Resell ticket”
  4. Select ticket
  5. Click on “Resell”.
  6. Fill in the data and click on “Start resale”.

Example:

Selling or giving to friends

If you have a specific person who should get your ticket, then you have to re-personalize the ticket accordingly in the MyTicket portal. Please note that the person will then not be able to book any additional items, since access to the MyTicket portal will still be via your e-mail address.

Fees resale before personalization: 12.5% of the original purchase price

Fees resale after personalization: 12.5% plus 10 euros re-personalization fee

ATTENTION: Won Tickets can not be passed on or re-personalized.

Third Party Purchase

Please never buy a ticket via other platforms such as TicketSwap, classified ads or other platforms, as the risk of fraud is extremely high there. In addition, the name on the ticket is not changed on other sales platforms and is therefore not repersonalized to you. This will not give you access to the festival as the name on the ticket does not match the name on your ID. In addition, you do not have the option of buying additional items afterwards.

Other

If you have a discount code, please enter it in the appropriate field at the end of your order.
If you have problems with the payment process, please contact help@ticketpay.de directly
We cannot send you an invoice for the ticket purchase, you will receive this directly from TicketPay with your order.

CASHLESS

At the Open Beatz Festival, payment will only be possible with cashless payment. You can pay quickly and conveniently with your festival wristband at all bars, merchandise and food stands. You can top up your wristband with credit both online in advance and during the festival.

HOW IT WORKS

STEP 1: CREATE AN ACCOUNT

Create an account in the Open Beatz app, log in and navigate to ‘Cashless’ on the homepage. There you will find step-by-step instructions on how to synchronise your ticket with the Cashless Wallet.

You will need your personalised ticket to register in the Open Beatz Identity Portal. You can then either scan this, upload your ticket or enter your ticket number (9 alphanumeric characters) yourself. Only one ticket per person or guest can be managed in the event portal.

Alternatively, you can also top up your wristband without using the app. To do this, register in the event portal and use the top-up on the website.

STEP 2: TOP UP / TOP UP MONEY

Once you have linked your ticket to your cashless wallet, you will find the ‘Cashless Wallet’ button at the bottom of the menu bar.

Here you can top up your chip conveniently in advance using the available payment methods. Topping up is possible before and during the festival. We recommend topping up before the festival.

The one-off activation fee is €2, which will be deducted on site when you activate or top up your chip for the first time.

You will receive your festival wristband with RFID chip directly at check-in on the day of the event. Your festival ticket will be scanned as usual and you will receive your festival wristband with chip. All information such as pre-top up, ticket category, Ferris wheel flat rate etc. will then be on your chip. In addition to topping up in the app, you can also use top-up stands on site. You can top up your credit there using a debit/credit card or cash.

STEP 3: PAYING AT THE FESTIVAL / CAMPING SITE

With the credit on the topped-up RFID chip on your festival wristband, you can pay conveniently and contactlessly at all merchandise, food, non-food and drinks stands.

This means: no rummaging in your wallet, no losing money and no time spent by staff returning change.

WHAT DOES CASHLESS PAYMENT MEAN?

What is cashless payment?

Cashless payment is cashless payment using an RFID chip attached to your festival wristband. This allows you to pay for everything on the festival site, from beer to T-shirts, conveniently and easily.

Why do we do cashless payment?

Cashless payment offers you many advantages: As cashless payment is used throughout the festival site, the processes at the counters and stands are faster and there are fewer waiting times.

Your advantages are:

  • No cash or cash cards that you can lose while partying
  • Your credit is safe on your wrist
  • Shorter waiting times at the stands
  • maximum transparency – all transaction receipts can only be viewed online by you
  • any additional credit you need can be topped up online in the app or at one of the top-up stations at the festival
Can I still pay in cash?

You can top up your festival wristband with cash at the Cash Top Up stations, you can see where you can find them on the map in our app.

The payment process itself is only possible with your RFID chip on your festival wristband.

How do you handle my data?

We attach great importance to the protection of your data. Every use of the chip, e.g. topping up or buying a drink, is recorded, i.e. you are not completely anonymous.

However, you don’t have to worry because this data remains under lock and key and is not passed on to third parties.

We adhere to the applicable data protection regulations.

As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the provision of the services and the processing of payment transactions and remaining credit balances and there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary, it will be deleted.

Our service provider in the area of cashless payment is Global Event Technologies GmbH & Co. KG from Austria.

Further information can be found in the GET Privacy Terms: htps://www.get.systems/privacy-policy/

REGISTRATION AND TOP-UP

Do I have to register for Cashless Payment and how does it work?

Download our app and access the Cashless Wallet

We recommend that you register your ticket in the app in advance and top up your Cashless Wallet so that you can enjoy your stay at the festival without having to wait at the top-up stations.

A one-off activation fee of €2 will be deducted from your first top-up.

You do not need to register to top up your chip on site.

However, you should do this at the latest at the end of the event in order to receive your remaining credit back after the event. You can do this in the app in your Cashless Wallet.

Important: You will need your ticket number to register.

How can I top up my credit before the Open Beatz?

To pre-top up (top up before the event), simply download the Open Beatz app, register once with your ticket number and you will have access to all functions. Here you navigate to your cashless wallet and select ‘Top up credit’. This saves you time on site and allows you to enjoy the festival straight away.

How can I top up my credit at the festival?

You can top up your credit on site at any time free of charge in the Open Beatz app. It is best to top up your credit in advance and have your credit directly on your chip when you exchange your ticket for the wristband.

If you top up your credit via the app during the event, it will be on your chip the next time you connect your wristband to a cash desk or top-up station. You simply carry on as usual and your money will be on your chip the next time you place an order at the bar at the latest.

You will also find Top Up stations on the festival site where you can top up your chip with EC, credit, debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Troubleshooting stations are located at the main festival entrance and at the camping check-in; these are also cash top-up stations. Here you can top up your chip with cash.

You can find out where all the stations are located in the Open Beatz app on the site map (published 1-2 weeks before the festival).

How can I see/track my current credit balance?

You can view your current balance and the transactions you have already made at any time in your Cashless Wallet in the Open Beatz app. You can also view your balance at the Top Up stations. Simply hold your chip up to the reader.

Is there a minimum or maximum top-up amount?

To give you as much flexibility as possible, there are no limits on the amount you can top up.

However, we recommend that you top up a little more money than you are likely to need so that you always have enough credit available. Unused credit can be credited back to your account free of charge at the end.

What currency will I pay in and at what exchange rate will my money be exchanged?

Payments / bookings are made in euros and there are no non-transparent exchange rate differences.

MANAGEMENT OF THE CREDIT

When will I get my money back?

After the event you can request your remaining balance via your Cashless Wallet in the Open Beatz app or in the event portal.

We have opted for the Direct Refund, which means that your money will be automatically credited back to the payment method you used to top up.

The credit will be credited within 24-48 hours of the request.

If you have only topped up with cash on site, you will be asked to specify an account to which your remaining credit will be transferred.

The credit will be credited within 14 days of the application.

You pay €0.00 fee!

The minimum payout is 1,00€. The chip can be removed from the wristband after the festival. However, it should be kept until the refund has been fully processed!

Can I use the remaining credit next year?

No, the credit cannot be used again next year. Please apply for a refund in good time after the event.

PAYMENT
How do I pay with the chip?

The staff at the stands will take your order and show you the amount to be deducted from your credit. You then hold the chip to the device to confirm the purchase and initiate the payment. Your remaining balance will then be shown on the display and you will receive the goods you ordered. If you want to give a tip, you must explicitly say so and hold your wristband up to it again.

What happens if the wrong amount has been debited?

If you notice that an incorrect amount has been debited, please contact the employee directly so that the transaction can be cancelled and the correct amount debited. Otherwise, please contact the Troubleshooting Station, which you will find at the main entrance and at the camping entrance.

How does the cup deposit work?

We charge a deposit of EUR 1.50 on our reusable cups. This will be deducted from your credit per drink ordered. When you return your cup, the deposit will be credited back to you. You can also return several cups.

LOSS OR DEFECT OF THE RFID CHIP
What happens if I lose my wristband or my chip is defective?

If you lose your wristband or have a defective chip, please go to the Troubleshooting / Cash Top Up Station. The staff there can deactivate your old chip and issue you a new wristband with a new chip.

How can I block my credit?

If you want to block your chip and the credit on it, you need to go to the troubleshooting centre at the Cash Top Up Station. The staff there can block the chip for you.
